But here's what we know from history: Organizations like Aison (pioneering AI-driven logistics) or Tesla – combining human surveillance with machinery accuracy – are the things that are most achieved by leveraging the power of people and technology together.

The Recent Emerging Trends Report in Talent Management (2024–2040), published by the Government's Ministry of Possibilities' Future Foresight Team, identified 16 major shifts restructuring the workplace. AI has emerged as the fundamental force behind most of them.

This report is based on extensive research conducted by DGE, which includes an analysis of over 1,000 global trend signals, and asks two basic questions. And how will the Abu Dhabi government be maintained in the future in light of these changes?

One insight stood above the others. AI is no longer just a tool. It's a partner in thinking – and we need to start treating it that way.

The related parallelism is the smartphone. Just over a decade ago, we couldn't imagine how essential it would be to how we live, work and connect. It did not replace human intelligence – it expanded it. Today, AI is becoming equally central. It is a tool that not replaces human talent, but rather a tool that exploits the ability to learn, create, and introduce.

This affects us all, as workers, parents, and leaders. All public or private organizations are only as strong as their people. We must evolve our workforce for that, not in spite of AI.

These trends and this report will help you understand how the future will feel. It's not just how it looks. And that is why we believe that investing in human capital and prioritizing collaboration between workers and machines is key to moving beyond the “counter-being” narrative.

Establishing clear ethical frameworks such as transparency in AI decision-making and measures to prevent algorithmic bias will ensure the power of technology rather than evacuating.

It helps technology rather than hindering the implementation of values ​​such as lifelong learning, critical thinking, and personal happiness. And it provides businesses with ongoing access to education, reskills and high-end programs.

And it's already making concrete differences in today's workplace. For example, DGE has found a trend to use AI to set fast, personalized performance goals. We are acting quickly, building AI-driven platforms, testing them with DGE, and actively deploying the entire Abu Dhabi government.

Just a year later, he lives in 38 government agencies and supports more than 15,000 civil servants. The results speak for itself: 73% reported improvements in target quality through AI-generated proposals, 72% gave positive feedback, and 81% noticed ease of use.

Humans bring intuition, empathy and critical judgment. AI brings speed, scale, and pattern recognition. Together, they drive a breakthrough.

By automating repetitive tasks, humans can freely devote their time and resources to the handling of sensitive, strategic, or critical issues. In healthcare, for example, AI-powered diagnostic tools can analyze medical scans at incredible speeds, allowing doctors to focus on delivering personalized care.

In finance, algorithms flag potential fraud, and human analysts develop strategies to prevent it. Also, in customer service, chatbots handle everyday queries, allowing teams to solve more complex and emotionally charged issues. By leveraging the speed at which machines can process, analyze and report data, humans can use deeper insights to make more informed decisions.

And just as the Internet has created jobs that previously could not have been imagined, so is this new era. This new era has already led roles that we had never imagined a few years ago. This allows organizations to adapt to the shift, from AI executives and AI ethicists to algorithmic auditors and AI literacy lenerators.

As AI is integrated into daily operations, it is important to establish an ethical framework that guides its use, such as the UAE AI principles and ethical framework. This kind of leadership ensures that technology serves the greatest benefits of society and promotes trust and collaboration.

Because without a clear guardrail, we risk shaping stories that divide fear rather than unite. But by choosing to integrate and prosper, AI can build a future in which humans can help them do their best.
