One of the biggest highlights at Google I/O a month ago was the announcement of Google Beam. This is a video communication solution equipped with AI that makes video calls feel realistic in 3D. Now in collaboration with HP, the technology is here.

HP Dimensions Using Google Beam

On Wednesday at InfoComm 2025, HP, an audiovisual trade show, announced its HP dimensions using Google Beam. The system uses six cameras and “state-of-the-art” AI to create 3D videos for each participant. According to HP, the special light field display renders participants videos with realistic size, depth, color and even eye contact.

No headsets, glasses or wearables are required for the experience. The only requirement is the Google Beam solution, which consists of a 65-inch light field display for substantial dimensions. This technology utilizes spatial audio and adaptive lighting to improve the “face-to-face” experience.

The solution is compatible with the most popular video meeting platforms, offering native Zoom Room or Google Meet Experiences, and interoperability with cloud-based video services such as 3D 1-to-1 calls, 2D traditional group meetings, and teams and WebEx.

Addressing workplace needs

Google Beam's HP dimensions aim to address many workplace challenges. The connection remains in the remote configuration. HP shares that 73% of knowledge workers report feeling connected to their colleagues.

According to internal testing, HP dimensions using Google Beam have successfully achieved concerns about worker connectivity, with a 28% increase in memory recalls, showing 29% nonverbal behavior, and an increase in concentration on meeting partners by at least 14%.

As it is tailored for shared businesses, the starting price for HP dimensions using Beam is $24,999. HP said the technology will be available for selecting customers from late 2025.
