WISE, Va. (WVVA) – A Wise County land management company is leveraging artificial intelligence to give its customers a competitive edge and was just recognized for its innovative approach. Price Land Solutions, owned by Robert Price, has been approved for a $10,000 Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority (VCEDA) Seed Capital Matching Grant.
The company offers a wide range of services, including stump removal, mowing, septic tank installation, grass cutting, debris removal, and grading and excavation. Price Land Solutions is unique in that Price uses AI technology to show customers before-and-after comparisons of proposed projects and create accurate cost estimates.
Mr. Price recently expanded his services to include septic tank installation and is licensed to provide those services in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He used the VCEDA grant to purchase equipment and cover marketing costs such as website development, flyers, yard signs and door hangers. The company plans to hire one full-time and four part-time employees within five years.
Price worked with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Mountain Empire Community College to develop the grant application and received support from the Wise County Industrial Development Authority.
