How businesses are embracing the use of artificial intelligence

AI News

Artificial intelligence continues to advance rapidly across a wide range of fields, including business.

According to a recent survey by Exploding Topics, 77% of companies are using or considering using AI in their business, and 83% say AI is a top priority in their business plans.

And it's being used in a variety of ways: According to a Forbes survey, 51% of business owners use the technology for cybersecurity and fraud management, and 56% use AI for customer service. Plus, nearly all (97%) said they think the AI-powered text program ChatGPT could help their business.

However, there will always be concerns about how AI will impact a company’s workforce.

Mike Kaput, chief content officer at the Marketing AI Institute and co-author of “Marketing Artificial Intelligence: The Future of AI, Marketing, and Business,” told Scripps News that the current use of AI is just the beginning, and that AI will become increasingly “empathetic” and “personalized.”

“We don't seem to have enough companies educating and preparing their staff on how to get the most out of these tools and how to actually use them to augment human work rather than completely replace it,” Caputo said.

Caputo also discussed why the benefits businesses are seeing will encourage them to further adopt AI, and how people who feel their jobs are at risk from AI can better understand it.
