Honeycomb intelligence allows engineers to investigate faster, collaborate more effectively, and resolve cases clearly.

Honeycomb, creator of Observability, has announced the launch of Honeycomb Intelligence, an AI-Native Observability Suite optimized for developers. The new AI-powered product brings observability to the IDE, improves interactive co-pilot investigations, and accelerates debugging and code delivery by automatically detecting performance anomalies. By combining the unparalleled speed of Honeycomb's own database with seamless access to terabytes of contextual data, Honeycomb Intelligence enables all developers to understand the system without slowing down.

AI accelerates software delivery, distributed architectures become increasingly complex, and most observability tools still struggle with rising potential, siloed data, and costs that are handed over to customers. Modern development takes place within AI-supported IDES, with teams hoping for real-time collaboration on live data. Honeycomb Intelligence accepts this by providing teams with co-assistants that can provide sub-second query responses across billions of events. This is performance that enables real-time AI support. Honeycomb's event-based observability model means that the system will become more complex and less slower or more expensive, resulting in richer AI insights.

“The existing observability solutions are not built in the AI age. Speed, interaction and scale are paramount,” he said. Emily NakashimaHoneycomb's Engineering SVP. “With Honeycomb Intelligence, observability tools can redefine what is possible. Every engineer can debug like an expert from day one, and teams can build a truly interactive feedback loop that runs 10 times faster.”

Honeycomb Intelligence introduces three new products that address critical needs in modern engineering workflows. This integrated suite is seamlessly integrated and is out of the box without the need for teams to coordinate various AI tools or worry about obstacles in agent-to-agent communication.

  • Honeycomb MCP Server Accelerate debugging and code delivery by bringing the powerful observability model of honeycomb directly into a cursor or an AI-equipped IDE Claude Code. Developers can investigate issues, perform bubble-ups, detect outliers, and visualize heatmaps and histograms without leaving the workflow.
  • Honeycomb canvas Transform complexity into confident actions in an AI-guided workspace that combines natural language interactions with rich, interactive visualization. Engineers can ask questions, perform multi-step investigations, and seamlessly share insights with tools like teammates and Slack within honeycomb.
  • Honeycomb abnormality detection It is an early warning system about service health that learns normal service behaviors and highlights meaningful deviations before impacting customers. It reduces false positives, eliminates alert fatigue, and allows teams to focus on fixing real issues rather than chasing noise.

Early adopters like Slack, Hellofresh, Duolingo, and Intercom have already leveraged honeycomb intelligence to streamline debugging, accelerate incident response, and unlock deeper understanding of the system. The announcement follows Honeycomb's inclusion as a launch partner for the AWS Marketplace in the new AI Agents and Tools category, and partners with humanity with new usage and cost APIs.
