SEOUL, March 23 (Yonhap) – Hanwha Vision, the video surveillance and vision solutions division of Hanwha Group, announced on Monday that it has partnered with American artificial intelligence (AI) chip design company Ambarella to develop next-generation AI video security technology.
According to Hanwha Vision, under the strategic partnership agreement, the two companies will collaborate on AI-based video technology and next-generation system-on-chip (SoC) solutions.
According to Hanwha, the partnership will enable the delivery of advanced AI video security solutions by combining Hanwha’s video processing technology with Ambarella’s AI capabilities.
Founded in 2004, Ambarella, Inc. is a California-based fabless semiconductor design company focused on low-power, high-definition (HD) vision processors used in surveillance cameras, autonomous vehicles, robots, and drones.
Through the partnership, Hanwha Vision plans to expand the scope of its AI technology beyond video surveillance to other areas.
