Designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) and situational awareness applications, Kraken encodes, transcodes and transports high-quality video and metadata in real-time, even in environments where network bandwidth is unpredictable or limited. The latest updates for Kraken include the new option – Shield AI Sensory Tracker, the availability of AI-driven software for superior object detection for multi-domain operations.
Using AI and 20 years of computer vision research and development, the tracker detects moving objects in full motion video and turns raw data into practical intelligence with speed and efficiency. It can detect stationary and moving targets such as boats, ships, individuals, and life jackets in land and maritime environments such as vehicles and people.
Kraken's advanced features allow real-time transcoding of live video streams, ensuring downstream system compatibility, while also transporting essential metadata such as object detection and tracking information within full motion video (FMV) streams. When integrated with Shield AI's tracker software, the solution can automatically detect and track live video objects shot by crews or non-white four aircraft operating in complex land and maritime environments. Downstream systems can use combined video with enhanced tracking information, either as an overlay of a tracking box or as input to popular operating image tools such as TAK and ATAK. Together, these features streamline ISR workflows and allow faster and more informed decisions with mission-critical operations.
