This project explores machine learning (ML)-driven scientific discovery, how scientific and expert knowledge can be incorporated into data-driven machine learning, and how ML can enhance scientific discovery. increase. A researcher’s tasks include:

To be successful you need:
- PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Programming experience and expertise in Python and one or more related deep learning libraries and ML platforms (PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.)
- Experience and demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following fields: machine learning or deep learning, computer vision, optimization, scientific computing, computer science, mathematics.
- Publications at top machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence and robotics conferences and journals (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, AISTATS, JMLR, etc.) commensurate with experience and opportunity
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate scientific ideas to experts
- Strong work ethic, ability to work well independently and as a member of a broad team including industry partners
- Committed to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
