The Goa Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Commissions have introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an additional subject after grade 9. Artificial intelligence (AI) will be introduced in all schools not offering NSQF subjects, according to an official notice issued by the state board.

“Related to the above subjects, a new subject, Artificial Intelligence (AI), has been introduced as an additional subject in line with the NSQF scheme as a 7 percent subject in Class 9 from the 2023-2024 academic year.” said the official notice. said.

This subject is required for all schools that do not offer NSQF subjects. “By a partial change in Circular No. 33, dated 28 June 2022, the artificial intelligence (AI)/ICT syllabus for Class IX and Class XI will be the same for the 2023-24 school year based on school assessment.” stated in the notice. . “Schools/students who select artificial intelligence (AT) as the seventh subject in Class IX, the existing school assessment subject ICT, are exempt.”
