This week I recorded from Boston – excuse me for showing my face. We covered the rollout of Google’s May 2026 Core Update. Google Search Console has released several new AI performance reports and new AI controls. Bing Webmaster Tools plans to release more AI reporting tools soon. Microsoft executives had a slide acknowledging that AI search was reducing clicks and website visits. Google has officially released some publisher profile pages. These are called search profiles. The Monthly Google Webmaster Report for June has been posted. Google Ads now has new lead management screens and tools. Google Ads now has new branded search controls for AI Max. Added new invalid activity credit reporting to Google Ads. Google has started testing healthcare ads in AI mode. Google Ads has updated its terms of service. Google Merchant Center now extends attribute rules to automatically discovered products. Google AdSense now allows you to share your full IP address with buyers. Google Business Profiles will soon be able to connect to Google Analytics. ChatGPT includes new multi-advertiser ad placements and a number of new updates to Ad Manager. Microsoft announced Web IQ and Microsoft Scout. And we created the new Google Volatility Tracker Aggregator tool. That was the search news at this week’s Search Engine Roundtable.
