Google has announced a new application for Windows computers that centers around artificial intelligence. This application is aimed at users who regularly use the Google Gemini chatbot and brings a simpler and more integrated experience on Microsoft’s operating system.
After installation, users can quickly open the search bar using the Alt + Space key combination. Querying here is not just about performing web searches as usual, but also supported by AI mode to deepen information, answer next questions, and expand content based on context.
It is worth noting that the application is not limited to online searches. You can access data from files on your computer, installed applications, and even documents stored in Google Drive. Additionally, the screen sharing feature lets you search for information from content displayed directly on your screen using Google Lens.
This application is currently being released worldwide in English. Notably, Google only requires devices running Windows 10 or later, not just the latest version of Windows 11.
