Google's latest Gemini AI upgrade will try to predict how you will get the information you need in your life to be a better photographer or your personalized health and sleep coach to address potential issues.
Just announced Pixel 10 Delivery on Android Phones The new Magic Cue feature allows chatbots to comb digital life and lift up information related to their phones whenever they need it.
When you call the airline, your reservation information will be automatically displayed in the phone app from Gmail. Or, when a friend texts about brunch on Sunday, Gemini will suggest the right coffee shop and show your calendar along with your message.
This feature is part of a series of artificial intelligence upgrades for the newly announced Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro fold Phones. Each has a new tensor G5 chip that runs magic queues and other AI tools locally on the device.
Leo Gebbie, principal analyst at research firm CCS Insight, said Google “are likely places AI on the device more effectively than its rivals,” and said the Magic Cue feature was “an early step towards a much-prevented agent AI experience that has been promised on smartphones for a while.”
He added: “Google can take advantage of the fact that most Android users already have very populated apps like Gmail, Calendar, Maps, and more for their personal information. This brings together this data in a more useful way than ever.”
Pixel 10 has an upgraded imaging system that includes a 6.3-inch OLED screen and a 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto camera for the first time, with the previous two models giving the number of two cameras three. The Pixel 10 Pro comes in two sizes with a 6.3-inch or 6.8-inch screen, and features three cameras, including a 48mp telephoto camera that can have 10x optical zoom.
The Pixel 10 Pro fold will be one of the first folding phones with full IP68 water and dust resistance that is common in standard slab phones as Google tries to alleviate concerns about flexible screen durability. It has a camera system similar to Pixel 10.
The phone also supports a variety of AI photography features, including a new camera coach who uses Google's AI server to analyze scenes in front of the camera to suggest different framing, angles and lighting to take better photos.
Pixel 10 starts at £799 (899 Euros/$799/$1,349), while Pixel 10 Pro starts at £999 (€1,099/$999/$1,699) and ships on August 28th. Pixel 10 folding costs from £1,749 (€1,899/$1,799/$2,699) and will ship on October 9th.
Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Bud 2a
Google has also announced the Pixel Watch 4 Smartwatch. This can guide the Gemini to the wrist and act as an individual AI Heath coach. Part of the new Fitbit app, Gemini can create personalized fitness and sleep plans, measure the impact of training in real time, and answer the Chatbot style, a health and fitness question.
The Pixel Watch 4 comes in two sizes, with a dome-shaped screen 10% larger than its predecessor. This is the first smartwatch to offer SOS satellite-based emergency services when you get off the grid starting in the US. The device was also the first Google smartwatch designed for maintainability, such as battery and screen repairs, and will eventually catch up with Apple and Samsung. It costs from £349 (499 Euro/$349/$579).
Meanwhile, the Pixel Buds 2a is a cheaper version of Google's compact Bluetooth earphones, costing £129 (€149/$129/$239). They have the same tensor A1 chip as the company's Top Buds Pro 2 earbuds, and have noise cancellation and integrated Gemini AI assistants. The Bud 2A charging case is also designed with a replaceable battery, but the earphones themselves cannot be repaired.
