Have you ever thought it would be great to try on clothes in a photo, effectively, while sitting in your room and without imagining it in your head? This appears to be a reality with Google's latest AI applications. Google has launched a new AI app that allows you to virtually try out some outfits on your phone.
It is a new experimental app from Google Labs called DOPPL, which allows you to experiment with styles. With DOPPL, users can simply upload full-length images of themselves, and the underlying AI model handles the shape of the body and accurately layer various clothing on them. This allows you to see what the different styles and outfits look like before you buy.
In a blog post, Google announced the launch of this experimental app. “We'll introduce you to DoPpl, a new experimental app from Google Labs, to help you visualize how your outfit looks at you and explore your style,” he wrote.
In May, the tech giant announced its ability to effectively test billions of clothing just by uploading photos. The latest apps build on these features and showcase new experimental features, such as the ability to “try” ensemble using images and screenshots whenever inspiration arises. Simply upload a photo of your outfit and the app will take care of the rest.
“With DOPPL you can try out the look. So if you see your favorite clothes from a friend, a local thrift store, or a friend featured on social media, you can upload a photo to DoPpl and imagine what it will look like.
This app combines user photos or AI models with costume images to create a comprehensive costume visualization. It also supports dynamic video animations to create looks. Users can download Virtual Tryon and share it with friends and family for feedback. This app is currently available on iOS and Android in the US. Tech Giant has not revealed any details about extending the app elsewhere.
