Announced at Google's I/O 2025 Developer Conference in May, VEO 3 was only accessible to AI Ultra subscribers for $249.99 a month. In June, Google brought it to the more affordable $19.99 AI Pro plan, named VEO 3 Fast. These videos are still 8 seconds long and have a resolution of 720p, but Google claims that they are currently being generated twice as fast as they are due to improved backends.
ET reported in May that Indian users will need to wait, but we can expect future updates via Google's Vertex AI and Gemini platforms.

Recently, Canva has also launched a new “create video clips” feature backed by Google's VEO 3 video generation model. In an announcement on its website, the company said users will be able to create 8-second video clips using sound using text or audio prompts.
