Global Campus of Human Rights (GCHUMANRIGHTS)a major international academic network specializing in human rights education and research, offers two unique temporary opportunities within the collaborative research project. AI4HR (Artificial Intelligence for Human Rights). The initiative, launched in collaboration with Global Campus Research, Global Campus Europe (Venice) and Global Campus Africa (Pretoria), focuses on exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and human rights in the rapidly evolving digital world.

About the AI4HR Project
The AI4HR Project is a pioneering research initiative that explores how artificial intelligence technology affects human rights across multiple dimensions. From the algorithmic governance and ethical framework to access, accountability and global inequality, the project aims to inform policies, enhance protection and generate knowledge that contributes to a human-centered digital future.

Available positions
1. Project Assistant
Project Assistant plays an important role in supporting the operational aspects of AI4HR projects. Working closely with the research teams in Venice and Pretoria, our assistants ensure smooth coordination and execution of activities.
Main responsibility:
- Support for project management tasks, including planning and documentation.
- We support organising virtual meetings, workshops and events.
- Contribution to communication coordination and project dissemination strategies.
- Provide logistics and management support to ensure efficiency.
- Helps prepare progress reports and other projects for output.
Profile requirements:
- Powerful organization and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining regular communication.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Being familiar with research support and project management processes is an asset.
This position is ideal for candidates interested in gaining practical experience in managing international research collaborations while contributing to advancement in human rights scholarships.
2. Technical experts
Technical experts provide expertise to AI4HR projects, strengthen research and support the provision of technical accuracy and relevant output.
Main responsibility:
- Provides technical input for research on artificial intelligence and human rights.
- It supports the design and implementation of methodologies, frameworks, or tools.
- Helps you prepare reports, policy briefs, and academic outputs.
- Provides guidance on technical aspects of AI related to human rights challenges.
- Working with academic and project staff, we will ensure the integrity of our findings.
Profile requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in artificial intelligence, digital technology or related fields.
- A strong understanding of the human rights framework and their application in technology governance.
- Experience in interdisciplinary research projects.
- The ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-expert audiences.
