GREATER NOIDA: The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) will hold a one-day practical workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for doctors on July 4 to train medical faculty, clinicians and researchers on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across health care, medical education and scientific research, officials said on Friday.
This workshop will be organized through GIMS Vidya Setu, GIMS Center for Medical Innovation, and GIMS AI Startup Clinic.
Officials say the program is designed to help healthcare professionals integrate AI tools into routine clinical practice, education and research. The workshop will feature expert-led interactive sessions and live demonstrations on AI-assisted clinical documentation, scientific research, academic content development, medical data analysis, prompt engineering, creating personalized AI assistants, and more.
“This workshop aims to equip healthcare professionals with practical AI capabilities that can be easily integrated into patient care, research, and medical education,” said GIMS Director Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Associate Professor.
Participants will receive practical training on leveraging AI to improve efficiency, accuracy and decision-making in daily tasks, officials said. You will also receive an official certificate of participation, a customized AI assistant (Gem), a NotebookLM knowledge notebook, a curated library of AI prompts, and an implementation roadmap to help you incorporate AI tools into your professional workflows.
The training is also expected to help participants create AI-assisted clinical documentation, conduct rapid literature reviews, analyze medical data, develop lectures and other academic content, and use AI responsibly in patient care, research, and education, officials said.
“Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the landscape of healthcare, medical education, and biomedical research. At GIMS, we believe that equipping healthcare professionals with practical AI capabilities is essential to delivering smarter, faster, and more efficient patient care,” said Mr. Gupta.
He said the workshop aims to foster innovation, strengthen clinical excellence and prepare healthcare professionals to incorporate technology-enabled practices in healthcare.
