Ghana has marked a major milestone in its digital transformation agenda with the official launch of AIAFRICA LABS in Accra and the graduation of 250 Platinum AI Trainers.
Hon. Samuel Narty George, Vice Minister. Mohammed Adam Skupal reaffirmed the government's commitment to using artificial intelligence (AI) for national and continental development. The launch event, held at Accra Digital Center, was celebrated as a step towards “localizing and democratizing AI for Africa's development,” creating jobs and market-ready innovation.

Hon. Sukparu highlighted several initiatives under Ghana's AI and Digital Transformation Drive, including a Million Coder Program, Draft National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, review of Ghana's Innovation and Startup Bill, Girls In Click Program, AI Training for Cabinet Members, Public Sector AI Integration, and upcoming Data Laying Motion Act to regulate upcoming Data Laying Motion Act and support public sector AI models.
He emphasized that AI adoptions must remain inclusive and benefit rural communities, women, people with disabilities and other marginalized groups. The launch is in line with Ghana's 24-hour economic policy aimed at promoting productivity, digital enablement and a competitive, technology-driven workforce.
