Gaya: Gaya police on Sunday arrested Vikas Kumar Yadav, a resident of Shabd village under Fatehpur police station in the district, for allegedly making AI-generated photos of CM Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar and a woman legislator.The photo was uploaded to the popular social media platform on Friday and quickly gained attention. The photo has since been deleted and is no longer available to the public.After the photo went viral, a cyber investigation was launched by the district police. Vikas was arrested based on digital evidence.Wazirganj SDPO Sunil Kumar Pande said a case was registered against Vikas under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BNS) and he was sent to jail.Asked about the involvement of other persons in the matter, the SDPO said so far no evidence of any other person’s involvement has emerged. The incident is under investigation, he added.Vikas did not name any other person in his confessional statement. Vikas told police he did it just for fun.Asked about the criminal or political background of the arrested man, the SDPO said nothing untoward was known about his background at this stage.
