Samsung Electronics today announced the continued expansion of Galaxy AI, strengthening its vision of a rich, open, and integrated multi-agent ecosystem. Galaxy AI is built around Samsung’s AI vision of reducing effort and steps in daily tasks, and is designed to help users get things done more naturally and with greater choice, flexibility, and control.

To reflect this change, Samsung is evolving its Galaxy AI2 We support the selection of integrated agents, allowing users to choose the experience that best fits their needs, preferences, and routines.
Galaxy AI was built to bring meaningful AI directly into the operating system through deep framework-level connectivity across devices. Rather than operating within individual apps, Galaxy AI operates at a system level by understanding the user’s context to support more natural interactions.
This approach reduces the need to switch between apps or repeat commands, and allows Galaxy AI to work in the background. Samsung can also curate experiences from support services like Perplexity to ensure everything feels seamlessly integrated within the Galaxy environment.
“We have been working to build an open and comprehensive integrated AI ecosystem that provides users with more choice, flexibility and control to perform complex tasks quickly and easily,” said Wonjoon Choi, president, chief operating officer (COO) and head of Mobile Experience (MX) Business Research and Development Office at Samsung Electronics. “Galaxy AI acts as an orchestrator, integrating different forms of AI into one natural, consistent experience.”
As part of this multi-agent expansion, Samsung will introduce Perplexity as an additional AI agent in upcoming flagship Galaxy devices. Users will be able to access Perplexity through a dedicated voice wake phrase “Hey Plex” or through quick access controls such as a long press on the side button, making it easy to access the contextual assistant when needed. Perplexity’s AI agent is deeply embedded in some Samsung apps, including Samsung Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminders, Calendar, and some third-party apps, enabling smoother multi-step workflows and allowing users to move seamlessly between tasks without having to manually manage individual apps. This system-level approach provides Galaxy users with a richer, more flexible AI experience across their devices.
