A viral video of a woman wearing a burqa firing at a man harassing her is said to have been generated by AI. The viral video and its claims are fake.
Lighthouse Journalism discovered the video, which has been widely shared across social media platforms, with multiple users claiming it to be surveillance footage of the actual incident.
According to an accompanying post, the video showed the biker repeatedly harassing the woman, causing her to pull out a gun and fire, forcing her to flee. These claims were spread without verifiable evidence proving the authenticity of the videos or the circumstances in which they were recorded.
After investigation, it was determined that the video was generated by AI and was not genuine. Virus claims are fake.

investigation:
We started our investigation by downloading the video and extracting the keyframes.
We couldn’t find any reliable profiles posting the same video or news outlets reporting on it.
However, we noticed some anomalies in the video, including the smooth rotation of the bike and the sound of a gun being fired.
So I downloaded the video and ran it through an AI content detector.
First, we ran it through HIVE Moderation, an AI content detector. The tool suggested, “This input may contain AI-generated content or deepfake content.”

Another AI detector, detectvideo.ai, also suggests “multiple forensic signals are elevated, with a 56% chance of AI or manipulation.”

Conclusion: A viral video of a woman wearing a burqa firing at a man harassing her is said to have been generated by AI. The viral video and its claims are fake.
