Claims: Facebook page, The Truth Media, shared a video showing military women who revealed their attempts to compromise Ibrahim Traore's security with a 500,000 euros of bribe.

Verdict: False. Videos showing the interviews were generated using artificial intelligence. Nor is there any evidence to prove the existence of a female president.

Captain Ibrahim Traore took power in the 2022 coup, so he is a Pan-African leader and distanced Burkina Faso from Western influences. During this period he severed ties with France in favor of close ties with Russia.
Burkina Faso has also stopped being a member of the West African Countries (ECOWAS) economic community after Traoré left on January 29, 2025.
Despite his popularity among the African youth segments, the humanitarian crisis grew under his administration, displaced millions, and civil space reduced under military junta control. In March 2025 alone, Human Rights Watch reported that the military government had killed more than 100 civilians.
There have also been repeated allegations of a coup plot targeting the Traore government. In April 2025, authorities announced they had thwarted a major attempt to overthrow the junta. Security Minister Mahamadu Sana advocated several military personnel, both current and former military personnel, who cooperated with opposition from nearby Court Divoir.
While the dust hadn't been resolved yet, Facebook page Truth Media shared a 67-second reel showing the military personnel allowing television interviews. The page allegedly a member of the president who was not sorted by Traore on May 28, 2025, how his conspirators tried to bribe Traore for 500,000 euros.
As of June 4, 2025, the reel has gained over 4,300 reactions, 271 comments and 1,300 Risher since its release on June 1, 2025.
“I am proud of you, sisters. You are blessed. You have proven loyal and loyal to your country,” Franklin Charles said in the comments section.
Another user, Claire Allain, wrote, “So, the 20th time they tried to kill him?”
“I love how they get that money and play with them to use it for development and agriculture,” Bis Bill said.
The post's meaning of the country's political stability led Dobawa to confirm his claims facts.

The first red flag we observed was the inability to see the speaker's face. We also observed that images of military officers covered in video had similar characteristics to those of the images that were generated.
I also manually identified distortions in some text that is visible on the TV that is seen in the video. The policeman's complexion indicated the possibility of digital manipulation.
Images were analyzed using Isitai. This revealed a 74% chance score. This indicates that it is most likely to be generated by artificial intelligence.
The tool “This generated image depicts a woman in military uniform, perhaps a portrait. She is wearing a red beret and appears to be placed in an office environment. This image shows that it is likely generated by AI. No NSFW content is detected.”
Dubawa analyzed the video using Deepware Scanner, an open source tool for Deepfake detection. Two models, Seferbekov and Ensemble, detected 98% and 94% of deep ferk, respectively.
We also used Attestiv Video, a Deepfake Decection Tool with AI, to verify the reliability of the video. The analysis reveals a consistent green line, indicating that it was fully generated.
Following the video watermark, Dubawa traced the video's source to Vantix TV. VantixTV is a faceless YouTube channel that frequently shares anti-democratic stories on Burkina Faso.
Despite using advanced keyword searches, no trusted media organizations were found that reportedly insisted on developing bribery. We also conducted keyword searches to see if Trore had a female military officer on him, but no evidence was found.
Conclusion
Video analysis revealed that the supposed interview was a deep falk generated using artificial intelligence. Therefore, the information is false.
