AI, future innovations, sustainable technology solutions, and the impact of technology on creative industries are some of the hottest topics in this month’s series of global expert talks.
Garit Ariel, one of the world’s leading futurists, will join four global tech experts in a series of nine free events over seven days as part of the City of Sydney’s Visiting Entrepreneurship Programme.
Talks and workshops will provide an in-depth analysis of the responsibilities, ethics, and implications of emerging technologies, and delve into the good, bad, and oddities of our technological civilization.
The City of Sydney has worked closely with Tech Central and the Metropolitan Commission on this year’s program, themed ‘Crossroads’, to explore the latest technological trends and innovations that are disrupting society and the economy.

Futurist and augmented reality thought leader Garit Ariel kicked off the program with an opening talk titled “Technology We All Should Enjoy – Exploring the Impact of Technology on Our Daily Lives and the Future.” increase.

Since its launch in November 2017, the City of Sydney has worked with over 90 partner organizations to host over 100 visiting entrepreneur program events for over 10,500 members of Sydney’s tech startup ecosystem. .
The 2023 Visiting Entrepreneurship Program runs from 21-28 June at various venues in Sydney including UTS, Tech Central, Barangaroo, Haymarket and online. Reservations are required.
