Empromptu, a new AI platform designed to help companies build production-ready AI applications without deep technical expertise, has secured $2 million in pre-seed funding led by Precursor Ventures with participation from Zeal Capital, Alumni Ventures, FoundersEdge, and South Loop. The company was founded by CodeSee creator Shanea Leven and AI researcher Sean Robinson. This follows Leven's experience building enterprise software where reliability, security, and compliance were core requirements even in the era of generative AI.
Empromptu allows users to write the applications they need, such as classification tools and recommendation engines, to automatically generate software while providing fine-tuning capabilities and integration with existing codebases. The platform is built for regulated and operationally complex industries, with a focus on governance, evaluation, and continuous improvement. New features announced in conjunction with the funding include the creation of custom data models and expanded long-term memory capabilities.
Empromptu aims to help companies turn AI concepts into deployable production-grade systems without the need for specialized engineering skills, and this investment will support the adoption and development of additional proprietary technology.
