American billionaire Elon Musk has set social media ablaze with an AI-generated video showcasing world leaders and tech luminaries dressed in futuristic fashion.
A video posted by Musk on his social media platform X showed US President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former US President Donald Trump walking down a virtual runway.
“AI Fashion Show”
Musk called the video “the perfect opportunity for an AI fashion show.” In a video that was widely shared online, Modi appeared in a vibrant, multi-colored outfit decorated with geometric symbols and black sunglasses, blending modern and classic elements.
Other notable attendees included Russian President Vladimir Putin in a Louis Vuitton suit, Biden in a wheelchair and wearing sunglasses, and Musk in a futuristic Tesla- and X-themed superhero costume. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un rounded out the colorful lineup in a loose sweatshirt and large gold necklace.
Trolling gates?
Musk appeared to poke fun at Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates over the massive IT outage that rocked the world a few days ago. In the video, Gates is seen holding up a banner titled “Power Runaway.” In a blog post on Saturday, Microsoft said the global technology outage, linked to a software update by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, affected about 8.5 million Microsoft devices.
The video also features former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a vibrant Supreme dress and Apple CEO Tim Cook accessorizing with an iPad. Musk's foray into AI fashion highlighted the evolving role of AI technology in blending creativity and digital innovation. The video went viral, garnering more than 33 million views in four hours and eliciting a variety of reactions.
