Kevin O’Leary, chairman of O’Leary Ventures, spoke on “The Bottom Line” about Elon Musk’s merger of xAI and SpaceX to create a major technology company worth more than $1 trillion.
Elon Musk slammed Anthropic on Thursday, accusing the artificial intelligence (AI) company’s models of being “misanthropic and evil.”
Musk’s comments were in response to a post on X announcing that Anthropic, led by CEO and co-founder Dario Amodei and best known for its Claude family of large-scale language models, has closed a $30 billion funding round at a post-money valuation of $380 billion.
In a reply that garnered at least 1 million views within hours, Musk claimed that the company’s AI systems have racial and demographic bias.
“Your AI hates white people and Asian people, especially Chinese people, straight people, and men. It’s misanthropic and evil,” Musk wrote. “Please fix it.

“Frankly, I don’t think there’s anything you can do to escape the inevitable irony of humanity eventually becoming misanthropic. You were doomed to this fate the moment you chose your name. The name of the wind.”
The Tesla CEO’s AI company, xAI, and its chatbot Grok compete directly with Anthropic’s Claude model.
According to the Economic Times, Musk has criticized Anthropic in the past, including last month when the company was reported to have cut off access to xAI’s Claude model.

“It’s still not good enough at programming, but it’s going to be great in other areas. Anthropic has done something special with coding,” Musk wrote on January 15th. [xAI] It’s not good for their karma. ”
In a Jan. 30 post about X, Musk similarly appeared to mock Anthropic’s name.
“It is always worth remembering that fate loves irony. The most ironic outcome for a company named [Anthropic] That must be the most misanthropic thing! ”
According to CNBC, Anthropic’s latest funding round ranks second behind OpenAI among private technology funding rounds to date.

Musk similarly has an ongoing feud with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Business Insider reports that the two had a spat over X last month after Musk responded to a post alleging that OpenAI’s ChatGPT was linked to multiple deaths.
“Don’t let your loved ones use ChatGPT,” Musk wrote.
Altman pushed back and took aim at Tesla’s Autopilot technology.
