The appointments of 22 chief AI officers across Dubai's government entities were approved today, Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said in a post on X.

The appointments are part of the vision to leverage AI in government work and are in line with Dubai's Universal Blueprint for AI. The appointments mark a step towards realizing the city's vision for future governance.

Sheikh Hamdan added that the acceleration of AI, its tools and applications was a key pillar of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision “to position Dubai as a global hub for the development and deployment of AI solutions.”

Sheikh Hamdan said the chief AI officers would help Dubai “transform its landscape in developing innovative solutions.”

The Chief AI Officer represents various government agencies such as RTA, Dubai Police, DHA etc. Below is a complete list of agencies represented by the AI ​​Officer:

After the initial phase of AI personnel in the government, the next step will be to launch a comprehensive program to attract and enable data centers, in addition to introducing new AI company licenses.
