Dolly Parton doesn’t want artificial intelligence to keep her on this planet after she dies.
Parton was asked about living through artificial intelligence while in London promoting her upcoming album Rockstar.
“I don’t want to leave my soul on this earth, so I have to decide how much I want to be involved in high-tech stuff,” the singer said.
The reaction from the 77-year-old singer is not surprising. She speaks and writes frequently about her Christian faith.
In January she released a song inspired by a dream about God.

“I had a dream that God was standing on top of a mountain looking down at us and saying, ‘Don’t force us down there,'” she said.
Parton doesn’t want to live forever, but believes artificial intelligence will help her music remain relevant after death.
“I’ll be there,” she said. “Find a way to keep me here.”
Parton’s album Rockstar is her first rock album. It’s inspired by her inauguration in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
The album features collaborations with rock stars such as Mick Jagger, Freddie Mercury and Melissa Etheridge. It will be released in November.
