Have you ever spotted a small bluish circle floating in your WhatsApp chat? We were curious too. We clicked on it and found out it was Meta AI, with a penchant for creating lots of innovative content. So, we asked Meta AI to imagine dinosaurs playing cricket. The outputted images might seem funny, crazy or even real. But we must admit that they are all unique.
According to the official description, built on Meta's advanced Llama 3 model, Meta AI is an intelligent assistant capable of complex reasoning, following instructions, visualizing ideas, and solving subtle problems.
Meta AI is currently available on the Meta app and meta.ai, where users can learn more, imagine anything, and complete more tasks.
Let's see what Meta AI has generated: The first one was rather generic, and I have to admit that even by dinosaur standards, the stump in the middle of the pitch is wrong.
For the second prompt, I decided to get more specific. I wanted my dinosaur to wear an Indians jersey. Meta AI did a good job with the padding, but I have to admit that it looks a bit like a football jersey.
I was so upset about the half pants that the next prompt asked for full pants – I was naive to assume that would also include a shirt, but I can't say I didn't follow the instructions – and also, my dinosaurs suddenly looked like my neighbor's dinosaurs.
“Where's the shirt?” we wondered. Meta's AI answered us. It was the closest interpretation to a cricket jersey. The eye color matched the shirt color. But we didn't complain.
We wanted the India jersey back. And lo and behold! Meta AI made it happen!
Meta AI had already successfully created a cricket playing dinosaur wearing an Indian cricket jersey, so we wanted to push the envelope. We wanted our great planetary companions to play the IPL. Even the AI seemed to be biased towards MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (CSK). You can see the most prominent colour standing out in front.
Now, this time we wanted an audience, and Meta AI gave us that, but to be honest it felt more like a mini football game between giants, cheered on by modern Homo sapiens.
