Platform enhancements, including the release of Denodo Deepquery, solidify Denodo as the basis for AI
Denodo, a leader in data management, has announced further support for AI innovation with DeepQuery now available in DeNodo Platform 9.3. DeepQuery is a deep research ability that extends beyond fact-based searching to tackle complex, analytical questions with detailed and fully explained reasoning.
Enhanced Denod Platform
The latest release of Denodo Platform 9.3 solidifies Denodo as the foundation for AI innovation. Many of today's AI workloads include use cases such as chatbots that can respond to prompts based on live data, and AI agents that autonomously take actions and make real-time decisions based on live situations. This requires interactive, real-time access to a large amount of live data from the original source. This is a growing data landscape that needs to protect and reduce costs by measuring consistent security and compliance and measuring data and reducing costs. A recent MIT study found that 95% of AI projects do not provide positive ROIs. The main reason is that AI cannot learn and act correctly in a constantly changing production environment because there is no data infrastructure to support such workloads. Denodo Platform 9.3 adds several new features that enhance the fundamentals of operational AI. Important extensions include:

- Greater agility of embodied views: Now, embodied views and data caches are resilient to schema evolution, allowing developers to perform more agile data change management and more effectively equip the data they need for AI applications. This is important in environments where AI agents and applications are repeated quickly, with constantly changing schemas and other metadata that underlie them. This feature also accelerates the updates of the lakes of the data lake, so lake residents data keeps AI ready.
- Dynamic Access Control: These new controls allow on-demand searching for data access policies. This can be much more agile in dynamic, operational environments where privacy and security are frequently required.
- Automatic business context generation: In line with the DENODO platform's focus on enriching AI with relevant business metadata, Denodo Assistant currently auto-generates metadata tags and attributes specifying business contexts, and the latest release automatically generates and updates metadata embeddings in the Vector Database (PGVector). This accelerates the addition of business context. This is necessary to enable data to be AI, allowing faster iterations of business contexts as they evolve.
- Write to iceberg tables via Databricks Unity: For organizations with Databricks Lakehouse-centric data architectures, Denodo can now build AI agents and other applications that can be written back to Iceberg tables managed by Databricks Unity.
With the business user self-service experience of Denodo Data Marketplace, introduced in Denodo Platform 9.2, Denodo offers an unparalleled enterprise data foundation that meets the real-time business context needs of both people and AI applications.
“Denodo is gaining momentum in the AI-powered data management space to respond to rapid changes,” said Alberto Pan, Chief Technology Officer at Denodo. “Organisations need to navigate dynamic production environments that cut across traditional network and storage boundaries. The Denodo platform provides a way to quickly respond to these new, rapid use cases around AI-ready and business-ready data in this frequently unstable context.”
Denodo releases DeepQuery
Denodo Deepquery, a multi-agent deep research capability that was pre-published in July, is now available to the public on GitHub. DeepQuery allows AI developers to perform complex, multi-step context-aware queries driven by open-ended questions, such as identifying key drivers for customer loyalty and key drivers for customer loyalty across a variety of systems. DeepQuery provides real-time insights that can be explained in minutes. This usually creates a skilled data analyst within a few days.
DeepQuery provides the AI and developer community with open source access to Denodo's deep research capabilities. Based on DENODO's semantic layer and AI SDK, DeepQuery dynamically determines the data you need, retrieves a view of it in real time, and coordinates complex search and inference workflows.
The advantages are:
- Smarter AI interactions: Allows AI agents to repeatedly refine questions and logic to provide more accurate and contextual answers
- Comprehensive Data Governance and Security: Maintain AI-driven queries tailored to enterprise policies, masking, and access controls
- Open Source Flexibility: Available under Apache license, allowing for customization and community contribution
These advancements are already recognized throughout the industry. Shivaji Basu, Chief AI Officer at Sigmasoft, a partner at Denod, said: “We are excited to help unlock explanationable, cross-system business insights at the enterprise scale due to general availability, which is the maturity of AI that enhances both speed and confidence in decision makers.”
The success of this partner and other partners, as well as the success of Denodo's diverse customer base, not only enables corporate AI, but also strengthens Denodo's leadership in being practical, governing and making an impact.
Denodo is a leader in data management. The award-winning Denodo Platform is the leading logical data management platform for transforming data from all data-related initiatives across the enterprise, including AI and self-service, into trusted insights and results. Denodo customers in all industries around the world are ready for trustworthy AI in a third, providing business-ready data and offering ten times better performance than just lakeshore and other mainstream data platforms.
