Deloitte targets specific industries with new AI products

AI For Business

Consulting firm Deloitte has partnered with AI hardware and software vendor Nvidia to bring new AI services to enterprises.

On April 25th, the company announced Quartz AI, a pair of AI services built on the Nvidia AI and Omniverse platforms. Nvidia Omniverse allows the user to create universal scene description based his 3D workflows and applications.

Combining the Nvidia AI Enterprise software stack with Nvidia Omniverse, the Quartz AI suite includes Compass AI and Frontline AI. Compass AI utilizes Nvidia cuOpt optimization software to help optimize fleet routing and dispatch. Compass AI incorporates AI into workflows and is a cost-effective option for logistics customers, Deloitte said.

Frontline AI, on the other hand, is a virtual customer care representative that streamlines, measures, and acts on feedback. According to Deloitte, it’s an advanced chatbot service with visual conversational capabilities that can communicate in any language and is useful in the retail, hospitality, and customer service industries.

productive partnership

Compass AI and Frontline AI enable both Deloitte and Nvidia to demonstrate how generative AI systems and large-scale language models can fit specific business goals. Opus Research analyst Dan Miller.

With generative AI and LLM showing little signs of slowing in popularity, the next challenge for vendors will be finding ways to align them with business goals, Miller said. Deloitte recently launched a generative AI practice.

This will allow companies such as Deloitte and competitors such as Accenture and EY to partner with LLM developers while incorporating the technology into their productivity tools, Miller said. .

“It’s kind of like an automation story where you automate to achieve certain business goals,” he continued. “That’s why Nvidia wants to partner with companies like Deloitte. [offerings] Based on their technology, they work on specific business projects. ”

Such partnerships are mutually beneficial. Nvidia, for example, benefits from Deloitte being project-driven, and Deloitte can get products from brands that link to Nvidia, Miller added.

Additionally, such partnerships can help ease corporate concerns about generative AI and LLM. For example, many are concerned about how LLMs unsolicitedly spew false or misleading information.

“This is where companies like Deloitte can prove their worth,” said Miller. “Companies know they have to embrace it. Now, against the many objections about AI spinning out of control, there are trusts like Deloitte that help strengthen it. We will have an advisory partner who can help us.”

Despite concerns that still exist, businesses rely on Deloitte and its reliability to protect the implementation of generative AI tools and applications, Miller added.
