BITS AI provides domain-specific AI agents and applies AI capabilities to accelerate incident resolution for development, security and operations teams.

New York, New York – (NewsFile Corp.- June 10, 2025) – DataDog, Inc. DDOGthe monitoring and security platform for cloud applications today introduced three new AI agents that perform interactive research and asynchronous code fixes for their development, security and operations teams. Today, the launch of new proactive app recommendations and APM Investigator features for BITS AI SRE, BITS AI DEV Agent, and BITS AI Security Analyst Agent demonstrates the continuous evolution of BITS AI, the DataDOG generation AI assistant that helps engineers solve application problems in real time.

Dasadog's new domain-specific AI agents were announced in Dash and each is trained to become incident response, product development and security experts. Agents are built on a flexible system of shared task core functionality, including querying data, analyzing anomalies, and scaling infrastructure that can be reused between agents. The architecture allows DataDog to quickly build and deploy new agents while maintaining a consistent and powerful user experience. This, combined with vast, high-quality observability data, enables DataDog's AI capabilities to work in context and accuracy, providing insights and actions to eliminate risk.

“Datadog is uniquely positioned to deliver value with AI as a platform with rich, rich data points built into the key engineering, developers and security workflows of our customers.” “These advances in AI inference and multimodality not only help organizations understand availability, security, performance and reliability, but also enable intermediate workflows by expanding their ability to guide their customers what they look for and where to start looking and take action.”

Here are the new AI agents announced in Dash:

  • Bit ai srea 24/7 on-call responder that is currently limited availability. For all alerts, BITS AI SRE performs initial triage using telemetry and service context to bring all initial findings to the surface before responders log in. Assign the appropriate owners, align all parties with real-time incident summary and status updates, and actively propose the next step. It also generates the first post-mortem draft to save responders time.

  • Bit AI Development Agentcurrently detects issues, generates code fixes, opens pull requests tailored to your organization's technology stack, allowing users to directly view and merge changes directly within SCM. As a result, engineers don't just have software that brings the error to the surface. They have AI teammates that help them solve problems and increase HR productivity.

  • Bit AI Security Analystautonomously triggers Cloud Siem (Security Information and Event Management) signals, conducts detailed investigations of potential threats, and provides reasonable resolution recommendations without human prompts. BITS AI Security Analysts now automate investigations with previews, reduce response times and fundamentally translate how organizations handle security signals.

“Thomson Reuters focuses on maximizing operational efficiency and accelerating innovation at scale through generative AI solutions,” said Darren Tortzinka, senior cloud architect at Thomson Reuters. “BITS AI allows operations and downstream platform teams to receive the full context of investigations to do more to significantly free up the resolution down to drive conclusions from the initial monitor trigger.”

The additional applied AI features to the preview are:

  • Proactive App Recommendations,Telemetry Datadog continues to analyze what it already collects, suggesting high impact corrections and the next best action. Whether you optimize slow queries, deal with inefficient code paths or catch repeated exceptions, APM recommendations show exactly where to improve performance, reduce errors, and reduce resource usage.

  • APM Investigatorhelps engineers troubleshoot and resolve latency spikes faster. Automate previous manual processes by identifying bottlenecks, identifying scoping impacts, highlighting patterns across slow traces, suggesting possible causes, and suggesting corrections.
