Databricks integrates MosaicML technology with its data lakehouse platform, allowing users to build and train models using their own data.
Data lake house vendor Databricks has signed a deal to acquire generative AI platform vendor MosaicML for about $1.3 billion, Databricks announced Monday.
Databricks said in a statement that the acquisition will give customers the ability to “build, own and secure generative AI models using their own data.”

The companies said the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and should be completed by the end of July.
