Cutib procures Seed Bridge to scale AI-powered video project management platform tacu

AI Video & Visuals

Cutib is a Korean startup that is developing. Taku KIMGISA LAB, an AI-powered video project management and production platform, has completed a seed bridge round from KIMGISA LAB, an early-stage investment firm focused on seed-stage startups.

The company has previously been selected for both the TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) program and deep technology-focused early-stage startup packages, proving its technical credentials. Cutib plans to use the new capital to strengthen its core products and accelerate its expansion into enterprise (B2B) markets.

Investors pointed to Cutib’s organizational model and growth strategy as key factors behind this decision. Rather than take the traditional path of building a large SaaS team or relying on a single AI developer setup, Cutib intentionally chose a middle ground: a lean team of about 10 people with deep domain expertise. The company identified a gap in the market. Traditional SaaS players with hundreds of employees struggle to pivot fast enough to take advantage of the AI agent trend, while individual developers often lack the capacity to handle the complexities of real-world infrastructure, security, and edge case management at scale.

Cutib is inspired by the growth model of Cursor, an AI coding editor that started with a small team and achieved a multi-trillion Korean won valuation. By leveraging the latest AI development tools to maximize personal productivity and speed of execution, Cutib was able to replicate functionality that took years to build established video editing solutions in just over a year, quickly establishing a presence in the market.

Donghyuk Choi, CEO of Cutib, said, “In the AI era, the competitiveness of a product is not determined by the size of an organization, but by the depth of domain expertise and the speed at which that expertise is translated into practical products.” “We are building an execution engine that is more agile than large organizations and more robust than individual shops, and we intend to move quickly to reshape the AI video production and management market.”
