Crafton has launched a voluntary severance program to strengthen its focus on becoming an “AI-first company.”
Last month, ahead of reporting “best-ever cumulative” results in its Q3 2025 financial report, Subnautica 2 and PUBG publisher Krafton announced it was positioning itself as an “AI-first company.”
The company said it would “prioritize AI as a central and primary means of problem-solving” and “drive individual and organizational change, improve company-wide productivity, and accelerate medium- to long-term growth in corporate value.”
Currently, as of yesterday, November 12, Crafton is inviting its Korean staff to apply for a special severance package, which could be worth between six and 36 months’ salary, depending on grade and service.
According to Business Korea, reported by Automaton, Crafton insists that the reorganization is not aimed at reducing staff.
A Krafton spokesperson told Business Korea, “The main purpose is to support our members to proactively design their growth direction in the era of AI transformation and embark on new challenges both within and outside the company.”
“We plan to support our members in making autonomous decisions about whether to continue the direction of change internally or extend it externally.”
