Practical experience in AI research, mentorship, and a 10 million won scholarship awarded to selected fellows. Applications were accepted from December 5th to December 22nd, followed by a rigorous multi-stage selection process.
Seoul – December 2025 May – KRAFTON, Inc. today opened applications for the fourth batch of the “KRAFTON AI Fellowship Program,” which discovers and cultivates the best undergraduate talent in the field of artificial intelligence.
Established in 2022, the KRAFTON AI Fellowship Program is an industry-leading initiative aimed at developing the next generation of AI talent. Undergraduate students from Korean and overseas universities can participate[1]. The program identifies and develops top candidates through a rigorous multi-step selection process consisting of application screening, online and offline testing, and a final interview. Each stage presents advanced challenges that span the full spectrum of AI, from theoretical foundations to real-world applications. Applications will be accepted from December 5th to December 22nd, and five Fellowship members will be selected.
All fellows will participate in the “KRAFTON AI Research Internship” from June to August 2026. During the internship, fellows will conduct research and develop related papers under the guidance of nationally and internationally renowned AI professors and KRAFTON AI researchers. If a research paper is accepted at a prestigious machine learning conference during the internship period, and the intern is the first author or co-first author, KRAFTON will support the conference registration fees and associated travel expenses. Selected AI Fellowship members will receive a research stipend of 10 million won and an additional stipend for an internship period equivalent to full-time employment.
“KRAFTON AI Fellows are committed to providing structured, high-quality growth opportunities, including advanced education, mentoring, and hands-on research experience,” said KRAFTON AI Director Kangwook Lee, adding, “We encourage applications from students who aspire to become top leaders in the AI field.”
Since its founding in 2022, KRAFTON AI has focused on research and development across five core areas: language models, multimodal learning.[2]reinforcement learning, generative AI, data-centric AI – enhancing the core fun of games and increasing the efficiency of game development. This year, KRAFTON AI demonstrated its global research competitiveness by presenting 15 papers at the world’s top three AI conferences: NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR.
Over the past three years, a total of nine papers have been produced from Phases 1 to 3 of the KRAFTON AI Fellowship Program, six of which were presented at ICML and ICLR. What is noteworthy is that the first author paper of the second-term fellow was selected for ICLR Spotlight.[3]has been recognized for its outstanding innovation.
