Conor McGregor has declared he will beat Max Holloway this summer in a bizarre AI video of him singing on The Voice.
The UFC fighter is scheduled to return to the Octagon in July for his first fight since losing to Dustin Poirier in 2021.
McGregor will face Hawai’s Holloway on July 11 in Las Vegas, but the pair originally fought in 2013.
The Dubliner won on all judges’ scorecards that night and used AI to claim that the July match would have a similar result.
The AI video shows McGregor cradling his dog and singing the song from The Voice as the judges applaud and the audience cheers.
The 37-year-old then yelled into the microphone: “I’m going to beat Max Holloway,” and the crowd went wild.
McGregor captioned the post: “I do!” Great night on stage, thank you for all the love and support, I really appreciate the fans, myself and Spud! Please keep voting! See you on next week’s show!
Since McGregor’s last fight, Holloway has stepped into the cage on eight different occasions, the most recent taking place in March.
While UFC fans are generally looking forward to his return, many expect McGregor to lose to Holloway in July.
However, while UFC lightweight champion Ilya Topria is rooting for McGregor to win, he doesn’t think it will be a good fight.
Topria told ESPN Deportes, “Well, this fight is terrible.” In my opinion, Conor is a good thing for the sport. I’m not going to lie because a lot of people want to see him fight and I agree that he’s one of the biggest stars in the UFC.
“It’s going to be a purely striking, standing fight, no wrestling or grappling in there.” And don’t you think Conor is much worse than Max?
“They’re going to bump into each other like two kittens. They’re going to be there touching each other and pillaging each other, but I think Conor will win because they fought once, and he understands that.”
Topria added that he could face McGregor if he wins the fight in July.
