Globe Business, the enterprise arm of Globe Telecom, brought together industry leaders, technology experts and innovation partners at G Summit 2025 to deliver a clear message. You'll be guided by the theme “confusion”, The summit highlighted the importance of adopting change as a strategic imperative for Philippine companies.
In an exclusive interview with Telecom Review AsiaGlobe Business Head KD Dizon shared her views on driving disruption, promoting digital adoption, and building a future-ready industry across the country.
What will the next wave of digital transformation look like, and how does Glove Business support countries and businesses to achieve a leap of change?
This has been a hot topic throughout G Summit 2025. Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving our future. Globe Business leverages AI-powered solutions to deliver these solutions to our customers, becoming more efficient, modifying operations, implementing more customers, and improving customer interactions overall.
How is Globe Business using AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), or 5G to transform industries such as logistics, healthcare, and finance?
Globe Business actually takes advantage of all three: 5G, IoT, and AI. These technologies increase operational efficiency and create a better customer experience (CX) for clients and their end customers. This benefit truly reduces different industries in today's fast-paced environment, and everyone is navigating the same challenges.
For example, in sectors such as supply chains and logistics, these technologies play a key role in streamlining operations and strengthening inventory management. There are many AI-backed solutions to help you manage your inventory. Looking at the financial sector, there are also solutions that can be useful for loan management with AI. AI also helps in detecting and preventing fraud.
But at the end of the day, it's all about helping customers achieve more streamlined, efficient operations and better interaction with customers.
How does Globe Business support micro, small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) and large businesses in navigating digital transformation?
Ultimately, you will understand the clear issues and priorities of each segment. For large companies, the focus is often on efficiency, productivity and operational excellence. However, it is clear that they are focused on attracting more customers through discussions with customer-based MSMEs.
Therefore, supporting them involves interacting with customers and providing solutions that help them reach a more broadly targeted database. There are many solutions to this, many of which are AI-powered solutions that help you reach those customers.
Do you think MSME is also taking part in the momentum to embrace artificial intelligence?
Yes, I think we have a very progressive MSME in the country. It is also part of our advocacy to support their digital transformation journey. I think the difference is that even small and medium-sized businesses know that they need to be digital and change.
Sometimes they don't know where to start, and who to get help. This is where we come in. We want to provide that guidance so that we can build a change plan for them.
What role does reliable connectivity play in enabling businesses to drive disruptive change?
Everything you do with AI, IoT and 5G is impossible without a very reliable and stable infrastructure. The technology that drives innovation and disruption is running on a very solid foundation, and that is the infrastructure Globe offers its customers.
To help our customers with the goal of disrupting and innovating, we make sure we are well equipped to do so.
At Glove, we create a culture of innovation and a safe space where people are not afraid to experiment or fail. If they fail, they must be able to fail quickly, get up and pivot. Through this environment, we cultivate certain types of people who can bring the same thinking to our customers.
What advice do you have for leaders navigating “confusion” in 2025?
The real challenge and call for leaders today is to make the intentional choice to carry out change, lead with courage and embrace the disruption of the path to innovation.
After all, confusion starts with leadership. Not through the title, but through decisive action.
