CompTIA training covers the use of AI in the workplace

Applications of AI

CompTIA AI Essentials (V2) provides training to help employees, students, and other professionals strengthen the skills they need to effectively use AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini in their business. In its first iteration, CompTIA’s AI Essentials focused on the basics of AI, helping professionals learn how to apply AI technology in various workplace scenarios and understand the legal and ethical uses of generative AI. The updated AI Essentials program provides instruction in the core skills needed to use AI assistants effectively and responsibly. Training focus areas include practical prompting techniques, security and data privacy fundamentals, and the ability to discover and evaluate use cases for AI in everyday workflows. The course is followed by a 15-minute competency assessment that allows organizations to quickly assess and validate the basic AI skills of their employees.

“The focus is on what’s really important: a fundamental understanding of AI in the workplace,” said Henry Mann, CompTIA’s senior director of product development. “Our highly interactive, scenario-based approach ensures that employees are no longer just passive observers. They can develop real, work-ready competencies within three hours.”
