Splunk Observability is unlocked Practical AI insights to help organizations improve reliability across digital estates

Boston, September 9, 2025 / prnewswire/ – splunk .conf25 – Today, Cisco unveiled Splunk Observability with Agent AI, an AI-powered approach to observability that sets new standards for how customers can enhance resilience. The Enhanced Sprank Observability Portfolio integrates observability across the environment, surfaces practical business contexts, deploys AI-powered agents throughout the incident response lifecycle, and monitors both their performance and quality. Through integration across Splunk and Cisco Technologies, customers gain visibility and correlation of data insights across networks, infrastructure and applications, increasing reliability across digital estates.

“Our mission is clear, while maintaining visibility and control to help organizations get AI applications and agents working,” he said. Patrick LynnSVP and GM of Splunk Observability. “The latest innovations in Splunk Observability allow businesses to easily and proactively monitor critical applications and digital services, resolve problems before escalation, and ensure that the value and results from observability are worth the cost.”

Agent AI is restructuring what is needed to build key observability practices. As AI-assisted coding acquires steam, applications are built with less human involvement. At the same time, a new wave of AI-enabled applications and AI agents requires specialized telemetry to ensure that the model is running as intended – tailoring to business purposes and costs. To maintain the pace, organizations need uniform, in-context visibility across all of these environments to prioritize issues based on their business impact.

Agent AI-driven observability: aggressive detection, investigation, and resolution
Splunk is advancing Cisco's Agenticops Vision through its enhanced Splunk Observability Portfolio, which is supercharged with new Agent AI innovations. These innovations deploy AI agents to automate telemetry collection and alert configuration, detect problems, identify root causes, and recommend fixes. This will focus on ITOPS and the engineering team to focus on innovation. These advancements include:

  • AI Troubleshooting Agent: These agent AI features provided by Splunk Observability Cloud and Splunk AppDynamics automatically analyze incidents and potential root causes, helping users to act quickly on issues.
  • Event IQ: Event IQ provided with Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) helps teams easily set up automated alert correlations to quickly reduce alert noise and gain clear context with grouped alerts.
  • Summary of that episode: A summary of episodes in Splunk ITSI, along with AI-driven alert correlation via event IQ, automatically provides a summary of grouped alerts including trends, impacts and root causes, helping you troubleshoot faster.

The observability of AI for AI to monitor AI agents, LLMS, and infrastructure performance
As organizations integrate AI with large-scale language models (LLMS) Applications and AI agents deployments require specialized analysis to ensure that AI works as intended. Spranch It helps teams actively monitor the health, security, and costs of their AI application stack, including agents. LLMSand AI infrastructure,

  • AI Agent Monitoring: Monitor the quality, security and costs of LLMS and AI agents to determine whether your model is performing at the right price and align with business goals.
  • Monitoring AI infrastructure: Proactively monitor the health and consumption of AI infrastructure by warning of bottlenecks and spikes across services to manage costs.

Unified Observability Business and End-User Impact
Cisco brings the best Splunk AppDynamics and Spranch Observability We will cloud together to provide a unified experience in three layers, Microservices Deepen your environment and integration with Cisco Thousand Eye So Itops, NetOps Engineering teams can identify the impact of networks on application performance and end-user experience. Innovations include:

  • Business Insights Splunk Observability Cloud: Teams can correlate application performance with minimal setups to real-time health for critical business processes such as checkout, loan processing, and supply chain flows.
  • Digital experience analysis for Splunk Observability Cloud: Product and design teams are deeply aware of the journeys and actions of users, and have access to insights into richer customer experiences and faster setups.
  • APM support for hybrid apps and business transactions in Splunk Observability Cloud: These features enhance APM for cloud-native applications and expand support for hybrid environments.
  • Session replay for Real User Monitoring (RIM) for Splunk AppDynamics and Splunk Observability Cloud: Replaying new browsers and mobile sessions in Splunk AppDynamics and Splunk Observability Cloud helps teams optimize their online experience.
  • Splunk AppDynamics Agent: This agent leverages Opentelemetry, allowing customers to collect data in either Splunk AppDynamics or Splunk Observability Cloud, allowing Splunk AppDynamics customers to use the delivery of observability to suit their needs.
  • Splunk Observability Cloud Real User Monitoring (RAM) Integration with Cisco Thoushousheyes: Users correlate real-user experiences with network performance across ownership and third-party domains, helping them identify regions and services affected by network bottlenecks.

“Through new agent AI innovation within Splunk Observability, Cisco offers organizations more proactive visibility and actionable insight into both digital operations and the health and performance of AI systems,” he said. Torsten VolkPrincipal Analyst, Application Modernization, Enterprise Strategy Group. “This kind of functionality is important because companies try to scale AI in a controlled and reliable way.”
