Chinese EV BYD Yangwang U8 shows off incredible off-road capabilities in video that looks like AI, but is 100% real

This video of the BYD Yangwang U8 showing off its off-road capabilities may look AI-generated, but it’s completely authentic.

The clip shows a Chinese EV tackling various aspects of uphill, downhill, and “rough terrain.”

The course was set up to rock the car, but you wouldn’t have noticed it watching this U8.

It went effortlessly and demonstrated how well this car can handle real-world landscapes.

BYD Yangwang U8 made off-roading look like a casual morning drive

The clip was shared online by YouTube channel CarForLife.

The video showed the BYD Yangwang U8 capturing some downright supernatural angles.

In this era of AI deepfakes, it’s natural to wonder what your eyes are seeing.

But considering this SUV’s potential, this is all too real.

At one point, the U8 hangs over the edge of a steep slope, much like a climber dangling by his fingertips over the edge of a cliff.

These are angles that most drivers wouldn’t dare put their car into.

But here, Yangwang U8 is casually sliding up and down the track like a cart.

BYD cars have a serious form when it comes to off-road driving

There has been a lot of talk about BYD and its sales, especially in comparison to its American rival Tesla.

But what doesn’t get as much attention is its impressive off-road skills, which the brand has spent a lot of time fine-tuning.

The Leopard 5 proved its worth as an off-roader when we took on this 45-degree incline climb.

And that doesn’t mean we forget what the U8L can do in deep water.
