Business Insider posted a disclaimer about a new AI pilot that uses “custom GPT to help publish quick news articles.” This custom GPT is trained on how Business Insider journalists write and is fully edited by Business Insider editors.
They write, “We aim to publish several articles per day using this tool.”
Once the month-long AI pilot is complete, the publication plans to “evaluate the results and consider next steps, including:”
- How can we further improve the tool? How might different teams use it in the future?
- And will it free up staff to spend more time on the kind of work that leads to outstanding and impactful journalism?
I'm curious how this ranks in Google Search, AI Overview, and AI Mode.
Glenn Gabe wrote to X that “there will be an AI byline.”
I applaud this disclosure and take note.
Meanwhile, Wired says Reddit's AI is ruining the platform for everyone.
So how long will it be until Reddit gets tanked by Google and AI search engines like chatgpt, perplexity, etc based on the AI spam posted there? -> AI slop is ruining Reddit for everyone
