As a proactive effort to enhance user safety, Bumble Bumble has announced a new feature that allows members to report profiles they suspect of using AI-generated photos or videos, further strengthening Bumble's existing safety measures aimed at maintaining a safe and trustworthy dating environment.

“This update reflects Bumble's commitment to fostering healthy and equitable relationships and reaffirms the company's determination to prioritize women's experiences within the platform. As advancements in digital technology continue to shape the dating landscape, Bumble aims to responsibly address the challenges posed by deceptive practices.

A recent survey by Bumble highlighted users' concerns, revealing that 71% of Gen Z and millennial respondents support limiting AI-generated profile content on dating apps. Additionally, the same number said portraying a fabricated lifestyle through AI-generated images is a form of catfishing.

As Bumble continues to evolve its safety protocols, the introduction of AI profile reporting is a proactive step that aligns technological innovation with user protection, ensuring a safe and trustworthy dating environment for all members.
