Union Minister Giriraj Singh joined other BJP leaders on Friday (September 12) and criticized the Congress after Bihar force shared an AI-generated video depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother, Heeraben Modi, opposed his political actions. Describing the video as “deeply painful,” Singh was attacked by the Congressional RJD Alliance and accused him of using artificial intelligence in a rude and unethical way. The video shows Prime Minister Modi imagining a conversation with his late mother who appears to be rebuking him for his governance.

Singh goes a step further and boldly creates a similar AI video featuring India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Lord Mountbatten, implying that if the roles are reversed, it will cause anger. In another post on social media, the minister summoned the historic ties between Nehru and Edwinamountbatten, claiming that Nehru's personal ties violated India's national interests.

“At a critical time, Nehru chose personal bonds over national welfare,” wrote Singh, accusing him of making concessions that would hurt India's identity and future. The controversy continues intimately with the political upset in Bihar, where abusive language is allegedly being used against Modi's mother at a Congress event. BJP leaders have opposed Modi's late mother, repeatedly targeting her with attacks, and accusing her of calling it a new low in political discourse.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal also criticised the Congress and accused him of plunging to “unprecedented level of descent” due to his frustration over the loss of elections.

Prime Minister Modi himself has been heavily on the issue in his public speech, saying that verbal attacks on his mother are not merely personal, but rather a collective shaming for all women in the country. “My mother represents the self-esteem of all Indian women,” he said.
