Bing, powered by Microsoft’s AI, joins ChatGPT with support for chat history

This week’s update introduces chat history. Bing now remembers the history of previous chat threads and displays them on the right side of the chat interface. From here, you can return to previous conversations and continue the conversation. You can even export your most interesting conversations to share with others. With this addition, Bing joins his ChatGPT to support chat history.

Microsoft has continued to implement more visual elements and added support for charts on Bing to “make chat answers more complete.” Ask questions such as, “What is the MSFT stock price?” Or ‘rank Brazilian cities by population’ and Bing doesn’t just output text, it creates a chart. You can also export these graphs for use in PDFs, text files, or Microsoft Word documents. Additionally, Microsoft states that the answer to the recipe is optimized.

Aside from the new features, Bing has been tweaked to more accurately predict the next word as you type prompts. We also fixed a bug that was causing the share dialog to appear unnecessarily long.

Bing is also available from the Edge sidebar on the right and can be used to summarize the content of the currently open page or document for additional insight. Microsoft stresses that if Bing on Edge’s sidebar detects that a question is about context or private content on your PC, Bing will not log those conversations. These conversations won’t even show up in the new chat history feature.
