High-tech heavyweights from leading national and global companies will gather in the city on Tuesday to attend the UP government’s AI-driven Innovation and Capacity Building Conference aimed at promoting AI-driven innovation and skills. The conference will be hosted by the Center for Electronic Governance in the IT and Electronics sector and will focus on innovation, capacity building and employment-oriented skills development in AI. Anurag Yadav, Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics, said the conference aims to promote AI-based innovation in UP. The first session will feature a presentation on the Government of India’s Vashni Platform, highlighting the role of language technology in multilingual digital empowerment and improving citizen services. This will be followed by presentations from global technology giants such as Microsoft, TCS, HCL, Google, Wadhwani Foundation, and Intel, which will focus on AI applications, skill development, digital ecosystem, and industry-ready talent development. Neha Jain, Special Secretary, IT and Electronics, said the post-lunch session will focus on the state’s IT policy, startup ecosystem and new opportunities for youth. A key highlight is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the e-Governance Center and Nasscom under the ‘FutureSkills Prime’ initiative to align training with industry needs and create new employment opportunities.
