Beyond the Buzz: What Nonprofits really need from AI

AI is attracting global attention and is changing every sector of society. But what does that change look like for the nonprofit sector? Many existing AI skills initiatives envisage technical flow ency, corporate resources, and commercial use cases. This is far from the reality most nonprofit teams face.

So we created a Nethope with support from Microsoft Unlock nonprofit AI, A free CPD certification course series built for the sector by the sector. Instead of promoting generic tools and abstract theory, the series meets real barriers such as limited capabilities, trust in new tools, and questions about ethical use.

There are four learning pathways designed to meet where learners are.

• The basics of AI – Introducing AI for new people
• Generated AI Applications – A practical tool for daily non-commercial tasks
• Advanced Applications: Microsoft Copilot and Beyond – For teams already exploring co-pilots
• Responsible use of AI – Ethics, Safety and Inclusion Fundamentals

From understanding how bias works in algorithmic decisions, to exploring ways in which AI can support donor reporting or field logistics, content is designed with one goal. for Non-profit organization.

All courses are free and open at your own pace until August 31st.
