Bengaluru woman loses Rs 3.75 crore after falling over to AI video on trading platform that approves Sadhguru AI videos

The 57-year-old retired woman is said to have due more than Rs 3.75 after being seduced by an artificial intelligence-generated YouTube video that showed spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was in support of the trading platform.

According to the FIR, complainant Varsha Gupta was watching a YouTube video when he came across Sadhguru's AI video on February 25th. Believing that the video was authentic, CV Ramannagar residents clicked on the link provided in the description.

Soon afterwards, she was contacted by a man identifying herself as Waleed B. He used multiple foreigners' phone numbers and email addresses and instructed her to download the Mirrox application according to her claim. Waleed is said to have given trading lessons through Zoom, but other people's Michael C led her whenever Waleed was not available.

Between February and April, the complainant transferred a total of Rs 3.75 from his bank account and credit card to the account provided by the fraudster. However, when she tried to withdraw her profits, she realized she was being cheated and approached the police with complaints almost five months after the incident.
