Behemoth releases “I, Scyllptor” video

Behemoth has released a music video for their new song “I, Scvlptor,” which is the title track of their next studio album, which will be released on September 4th.

Nergal commented on the new single: “‘I, Scvlptor’ is a song that includes ‘O Father O Satan O Sun!’, ‘Lucifer’, ‘Nieboga Czarny It’s a new Behemoth song, rooted in the tradition of monumental songs like “Xiadz,” but it also opens a new chapter. Lyrically, it feels fresh and different from their previous work, with its epic weight but unexpected twists and turns. It’s a metaphor for an unchanging process, an uneven struggle with material and personal limitations. The paradox is that we are already destined to die from the moment we are born. So perhaps it is not about the victory itself, but about the constant act of sculpting who we are.”

Released on September 4, 2026, I, Scvlptor will be an exclusive release featuring eight previously unreleased songs (seven new studio recordings and one live track). This is an autonomous body of work that connects the band’s foundational past with its current creative passions. This release features brand new studio material that best embodies Behemoth’s live energy and intensity. Two songs, “Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil” (from The Return of the Southern Moon, 1992) and “In Thy Pandemaeternum” (from Pandemonic Incantations, 1998), are newly re-recorded versions of early Behemoth songs that retain the spirit of the originals but reshape them with a modern sound. A tribute to the bands that heavily influenced Behemoth – “In League With Satan” (originally by Venom, feat. Shagrath by Dimmu Borgir) and “The Return of Darkness and Evil” (originally by Bathory, feat. Sakis Tolis (Rotting Christ)). CDs, LPs, MCs and limited edition box sets are available worldwide from Massacre Records and digitally from Nuclear Blast Records.

Nergal commented: “We’re very excited about the release of ‘I, Scvlptor.’ It’s not a regular studio album, it’s actually more of a compilation, but it’s an important release for us just because it includes songs that no one has heard before. Additionally, some of these tracks are from our last album, ‘The Sh*t Ov.’ That’s why we consider ‘I, Scvlptor’ to be an important record, a bridge between where we are now and what might happen in the distant future.”
