Celebrating the 150th anniversary of brewing giant Beck’s, the German brewery is on the latest AI bandwagon, offering celebratory beers brewed, packaged and sold using trendy technology.
Available exclusively in the UK, Germany and Italy from 1pm tomorrow, Beck’s Autonomus is described as “an experiment with the latest pioneering technology: AI.” The Brewer continues: Becks Autonomous is one of the world’s first fully machine-made beers. ”
AI brewing isn’t Beck’s first. The brewer also claimed the title of the first to employ green bottles in brewing, was the first to export them in steel kegs, was the first ever six-pack, and even sent the first UV-protected bottle into space.
Beck’s used ChatGPT and Midjourney to design the beer, branding and marketing, with technology driving all editorial and continuing to build on that intelligence until the final version was delivered.
With its ability to develop delicious flavors at lightning speed, Beck’s tasked AI with creating the perfect recipe. Drawn from millions of different flavor combinations, the final product is clearly a “futuristic concoction of water, malt, hops, yeast and AI.”
After naming the beer Beck’s Autonomous, creating a custom logo, and designing a state-of-the-art container, Beck’s worked with AI to prepare all the assets for the campaign. We generated a newly developed container image and a rotating 360-degree video of him showcasing a limited edition of his Beck’s Autonomous in all its glory. Campaigns span print, out of home and social media, with AI technology leading the creative process for all assets.
The final task given to this technology was to enable Beck’s to offer innovative beverages to consumers. AI has generated microsites where customers in her three markets of choice can pick up a bottle of tech beer, but it needs to be quick. Beck’s has released 450 cans of his birthday beer in all three markets.
