BeCare Link Launches New AI-Driven Platform for Multiple Sclerosis

Applications of AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered platform BeCare Link introduced BeCare MS Link, its first subspecialty product focused on multiple sclerosis (MS).

A new mobile application provides a comprehensive, remote and objective neurological assessment for MS patients.

It was developed to not only simplify the process of administering and interpreting neurological examinations, but to address the national neurologist shortage.

Validation study conducted in collaboration with Weill Cornell University and Yale University School of Medicine demonstrates that AI-generated BeCare MS Link scores match disability scores generated by healthcare professionals during face-to-face clinical visits it was done.

Comprehensive data from the application’s 13 gamified activities, as well as data collected from the “About Me” questionnaire, covers a wide range of in-office tests typically performed by physicians.

Initial findings for the BeCare MS Link app found that 58% of over 4,000 early adopters used the app at least twice in 2022.

Additionally, 99% of patient satisfaction survey respondents said the app was user-friendly and easy to use.

The company plans to launch a general neurological app with multiple potential uses this year. Additionally, plans are underway to develop apps for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS.

BeCare Link co-founder and CEO Larry Rubin said: “Unlike his other MS apps, BeCare MS Link generates quantitative measurements to monitor and detect changes in neurological conditions through a unique and patented machine learning technology.

“The mobile app mimics an in-person clinical examination, allowing patients to make their own assessments based on objective scales from the palm of their hand.”
